I've been through at least 5 lb of Strongman Coffee and really like it. I burr grind and french press my coffee each morning (200 deg F for 4 minutes), and after all that effort I don't want to be disappointed. Strongman is full bodied and dark, but no bitter or off-flavors. 3/4 cup beans per 4-cup pot results in a deliciously intense cup of coffee. If you use the french press, pour the brewed coffee into a preheated stainless steel double-wall Vessel as soon as it's pressed to completely stop the steeping. Then pour from that into the serving cups. Add hot water if you like it less concentrated. It's well worth the trouble.
